How to reduce engine oil consumption (PureTech & Other Engines): Without an engine strip down

There are a few ways to try to reduce oil consumption for engines, which is a very common problem across all makers and brands, mostly down to sub optical maintenance and oil changes, and the use of lower tension piston rings which are more prone to deposit/carbon build up.
I share my experiences with my oil consumption "battle" with a Peugeot 208 PureTech engine (this range of engines were fitted to many Peugeot/Citroen/Opel/Vauxhall and other Stellantis vehicles) , though the 3 main ways to attempt this apply to all engines and makers. I also had significant oil burning issues on other engines entirely unrelated to this make, and it's a common issue on other brands like VW, Audi, Ford, BMW, Toyota and just about every brand out there.

I did quite a lot of research on this, because the cost of an engine re-build is very expensive, and I think it's really worth trying these 3 methods to see if you can improve or eliminate the oil consumption problems. I also look into other areas, such as what is the normal/acceptable level of oil burning, this of course does vary from engine to engine, yet it's possible to come to some realistic conclusions on this too.

The original plan was to release this video later on after more time has passed, but I got quite a few emails from people asking what action to take, or try, so I've decided to make the video and I will provide some updates later on if it's needed. The bottom line is I am seeing improvements to the oil burning, and I have not done any mechanical intervention with the engine here, or with other engines I've been servicing. As always, nothing is set in stone or guaranteed, it's worth a try though! I'm not showing any patch up methods such as using thick oils or oil viscosity additives as this doesn't solve the problem.
