What is Flylady Weekly Home Blessing Hour?

The FlyLady Weekly Home Blessing Hour is a core part of the FlyLady cleaning system, designed to help you maintain a clean and orderly home without feeling overwhelmed. The idea is to spend just one hour each week performing a series of simple cleaning tasks that make a big difference in the overall cleanliness and comfort of your living space.

The Flylady Weekly Home Blessing typically includes the following seven tasks:

Dusting - Quickly dust all surfaces, focusing on the most noticeable areas.
Vacuuming - Vacuum high-traffic areas, including rugs and carpets.
Mopping - Mop hard floors, especially in kitchens and bathrooms.
Polishing Mirrors and Glass - Clean smudges and fingerprints from mirrors and glass surfaces.
Changing Bed Linens - Strip and remake beds with fresh sheets.
Dealing with and emptying rubbish and trash - Dealing with and collecting rubbish from a round house and take out all the trash from various rubbish and recycling bins around the house.
Magazine or Paper Declutter - Deal with mail. Quickly toss out or recycle old magazines, newspapers, and other paper clutter.
The goal is not to deep clean but to maintain a basic level of cleanliness throughout your home. You spend around 10-15 minutes on each task, making it manageable and ensuring that your home stays fresh and welcoming without taking up too much time. Sometimes if i'm feeling short on time I will spend minutes on each weekly home blessing task.
