Basically I had to keep syncing up the Mario Paint Composer version with the vocals, obviously the most notable sync point being the "bumping that" bit. At first I prioritized the Mario Paint Composer version over the vocals and shifted the empty gaps in the acapella as a way to re-sync, but the middle portion with how much faster and less the gaps there were in the vocals I decided to scrap that and went the other way.

Now with the original vocals kept untouched, I had to sync the Mario Paint Composer version by time stretching about every other 3-5 seconds as it would very quickly desync using the "bumping that" bit as checkpoints. It does get quite tricky at points, most notably the middle portion being quite messy when a few times the Mario Paint Composer version would cut off vocals at points.
