Plant Shopping @ The Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad (Annual show & sale)

Hi Plant Friends, As I stepped into the Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad annual show and sale my eyes were greeted by a dazzling array of exotic plants.

There were Sinningias in every hue imaginable, from vibrant pinks to deep purples, their velvety petals beckoning me closer. Streptocarpus, also known as Cape Primroses, stood tall with their graceful, elongated leaves and delicate blooms. Nearby, Sinningias, commonly called Gloxinias, boasted large, trumpet-shaped flowers in shades of magenta and scarlet.
But the treasures didn't end there. Kohlerias caught my eye with their intricate patterns and jewel-toned blossoms, while Achimenes, or Cupid's Bower, dangled gracefully from their pots, their dainty flowers swaying in the breeze. Columneas, with their whimsical, goldfish-shaped blooms, added a playful touch to the scene.
Of course, no African Violet show would be complete without the stars of the show—Saintpaulias, or African Violets. Their velvety leaves and delicate flowers in shades of purple, pink, and white captivated me with their beauty.
As I browsed through the tables, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of adding these exquisite plants to my collection. Each one was a testament to nature's creativity and a joy to behold. Truly, the Toronto African Violet and Gesneriad annual show and sale was a spectacular event for any plant enthusiast looking to acquire collectible treasures.
