It’s time to repair the Rear Main Seal (RMS) and Positive Crankshaft Ventilation (PCV) on our Volvo 850. After doing some preparations in part 1 it is now time to turn our attention to removing the gearbox, clutch, flywheel and then finally replacing our rear main seal!

Project’s Background Story -
On February 21 ’09 our dad bought this ’96 Volvo 850 2.5L 20V estate. The Volvo has a big emotional value for us and seeing the car sitting still for so many years and watching nature taking over broke our hearts. After nine years, and sitting outside for 7 of those 9 years, we finally got our hands on the 850 and brought it back to its home where we will restore it to its former glory. Once we finish the restoration, we intend to make a road trip and keep in the family for many more years to come.
