A helmet that can only be penetrated by a single weapon, a lance that counters vanguard's shields and melts through crowds of enemies, axes that make shocks a joke to kill and a syringe that heals you mid combat without having to stop for surgery.
Add a firearm in between and you got a serious class that can win you the game.
