Much love and respect to Tung Fatt Lion Dance Troupe from my hometown, Kuching, Sarawak.
During this performance, there was an unexpected fall from the high pole. From what I observed, it looked like the back lion dancer’s foot slipped—likely due to a slippery surface—which caused the front dancer to lose balance and fall. Accidents like this can happen, even to the best. But one thing’s for sure: you gave it your all, and your courage and spirit still shine through.
To the entire Tung Fatt team—hold your heads high. You are still the pride of Kuching. Your dedication, hard work, and heart for the art of lion dance are deeply admired and respected. We see you, we support you, and we’ll always cheer you on.
