Not all winners epic bicycle restoration fail

They say they can’t all be winners, well this bicycle restoration certainly wasn’t.

Thought it’s important to show the failures and struggles along the way of bicycle restorations.

This Bob Jackson started promising, with lovely Reynolds 531c tubing. It wasn’t until the bicycle was stripped down that I realised we had a problem. The handlebar stem and also the seat post was completely seized into the frame. Managed to release the handlebar stem, however in trying to release the seat post I damaged the frame in the process.
