Elliott BROOD and Great Lake Swimmers "End of the Line"

We've known the Great Lake Swimmers crew from the beginning of our careers, over 20 years ago now. Our debut records were among the first few releases on Toronto indie label Weewerk, and ever since, we’ve been criss-crossing the country on our own, and sometimes shared, paths. Back in early 2017, we toured Newfoundland and Labrador together. It was an incredible trip across one of our most beautiful provinces.

Each night ended with us joining forces on “End of the Line” by the Traveling Wilburys, a collective favourite. Honestly, if you don’t like that tune, you probably won’t like either of our bands. So we decided to make it official and record our own version.

We spent a day at Toronto's Revolution Studios and knocked out that banger and the Byrds’ "100 years." We stayed pretty faithful to the original with Mark and Tony trading leads while we all joined in to sing the unforgettable "at the end of the line" tags. It was a really fun studio day that resulted in our little version of "End Of The Line"
