Road Diaries was a 2002 four-part series in which six Mainers from different backgrounds, ages and hometowns visit various parts of the state. This episode finds our travelers in Aroostook County, Maine's largest. As this is Jill's stomping ground, the group meets up with her in Houlton (spot the famous and mysterious "Boy with the Leaky Boot" statue) before heading for her family's potato farm in Mars Hill. Then to Madawaska for a tour of the Fraser Paper Mill along with a night of Acadian culture. Next, they head off to the Maine Winter Sports Center in Fort Kent before a long drive deep into the woods for a night at Red River Sporting Camps.
