I just had a consultation with a young gentleman who is 29 years old. He has a new wife, 1 new baby and a $640,000 mortgage. His wife is a CNA and going to school to get her RN at University of Maryland Baltimore County. He is a Cloud Engineer. He lost his job in FinTech back in November 2024. He only had 2 months of savings and that has been exhausted.

He landed interviews with some local GovTech companies. He received 3 offers and all of them required him to go onsite in offices because they required clearances and it's Department of Defense IT contractors.

I almost cussed him out....Seriously. You want me to help guide you and your stupid? I can't fix stupid. I took a deep breath and calmed down. That angered me. Seriously. A new wife and baby at home.

YOU TAKE YOUR BUTT TO WORK! I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE TO WALK!

1. For any of you young folks that think Remote Work is a big deal. Please understand this. Telework is a PRIVILEGE! It is NOT a right.

2. Companies do not have to offer you any Hybrid or Remote work. You can worry about being picky when you have a bucket of money saved, some investments to fall back on or another business. In the meantime, take the damn job if you are offered a job!

3. Everyone who has worked long-term remotely will tell you that it gets old. It's not that big of a deal and you DO need to get out of the house. Being online all of the time can be stressful.

4. You will NOT get the same perks as your peers or advancements or promotions. If that is important to you. Suck it up and go mingle.

5. If you have no income. Bills are on your neck like a pimp wanting his money and you have other people responsible under you. DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO PROVIDE FOR THEM!

MEN NEED TO STAND THE HELL UP AND STOP WHINING AND BE A PROVIDER AND STOP LIVING UNDER THEIR SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER! GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND GO HUSTLE!
