In this video, I open a very special package: a custom wire-strung harp handcrafted by Finnish luthier Yrjänä Ermala
It arrived all the way from Finland to Belgium in a sturdy wooden crate, and inside… a breathtaking instrument that feels like it lives somewhere between a historical Irish harp and a fantasy harp. Beautifully carved and painted, every detail speaks of artistry and passion.
🎥 My daughter patiently filmed the whole process. Dialogue is scarce — mostly “wow,” “stunning,” and “beautiful!”—but maybe that says it all :)
🎶 At the end of the video, I test the harp with a short, medieval-style tune I composed especially for it. To match the spirit of the music, I created an illuminated sheet music design inspired by medieval manuscripts. You can download the score for free here: https://payhip.com/b/RdFz1
