A play of straight lines and clean frames define the facade of Shubhlaxmi residence set in Surat. The plot area of 3,850 sq ft is accompanied by bungalows around and a road in the front. The floods experienced in the city have led to create houses on hollow plinth. Considering the climatic conditions, client’s requirements, ethnicity and his cultural background, Utopia Designs planned the house as a two storey structure by raising the base by 6 feet from the road level.
