Definition of Linear transformation:
A transformation from one vector space to another vector space over the same field is said to be linear transformation if it preserves two basic operations of vector space, that of vector addition and scalar multiplication.
The linear transformation from vector space to itself is called linear operator.

Properties of Linear transformation :
Linear transformation maps zero vector to zero vector and also preserves linear combination of vectors.
If LT is one-one, it maps LI set of vectors to LI set.
A linear transformation is completely determined by its values on the elements of a basis.
