In today's video, we'll continue with the Scapa Flow wrecks. This time, looking at SMS Seydlitz. Generally regarded as the toughest of Germany's battlecruisers, this was a ship that survived repeated poundings.
Until her own crew sent her to the bottom, like so many others.
This was a difficult wreck to raise, as she sank sideways. Nonetheless, it was done. And despite a storm doing its utmost to sink her again, Seydlitz would ultimately be scrapped in 1929.
