Incredibly fun mission although there's some bullshit involved here and there. First and foremost, it's really difficult to notice if you've taken damage since Dante's health is constantly draining. That's why for this mission only i have that little menu there at the corner of the screen so i don't waste time completing the mission only to discover i took damage without realizing. It's a feature from DDMK, aka the famous style switcher, although i assure you all other features are obviously disabled, i use it mainly to practice bosses with the boss rush mode and to check if i took damage in this mission.
You can't waste much time killing enemies since you've got some health issues, especially true for the room with the Sloths. If they DT at full health you've got some trouble. I kill some gargoyles to refill health and completely skip the ones in the gear room, totally not worth it. Now, for the best part! A Hell Vanguard surrounded by other enemies, including the beloved Lust which can Lustercut you at any given time! Killing the Vanguard ASAP is your highest priority. Also, try to keep him away from the other enemies. I don't know if i can explain this properly but notice how i dodge his 3 teleports: I dodge the first one on the same place, at the end of the room near the door, and for the other two i run to the other end of the room. That way you keep the enemies away while the Vanguard will teleport to you. Once he's down, don't risk it, deal with the remaining enemies using weapon switch-cancel from off-screen or you can infinitely Air Raid with Nevan. A bunch more Lusts will spawn and they can ruin your day fairly easy.
Geryon is one of the bosses that gives me the most trouble in the game, but ironically for DMD only you can loop his ass, thankfully. First phase just weapon-switch cancel from the back of the room until it's over or you can use Drive. I always jump to the left when he approaches, the left corner of the door should be a safe spot, but some times a missile will hit you there. l know, because i lost a run to that.
For the second phase, buffer in a Stinger during the cutscene, immediately switch to Beowulf, use Real Impact and spam the Style button for the Tatsumaki follow-up. Jump back, wait until he gets up, dodge his carriage and hang in the air with E&I so the fire trail won't hit you, Stinger into him again and Real Impact. Repeat until it's over. It's important to keep at his sides, as Real Impact will often miss from the front or the back. Also, notice how i only use DTE for the last loop. I always keep it charged in case he doesn't get stunned from a Real Impact. Can happen sometimes, just unleash the DTE and he should fall over hopefully.
