Reading an arterial blood gas can be challenging at the best of times.
In our specialty we often are in the midst of an evolving crisis while we are trying to interpret an ABG, so we have to be able to take away the most critically important points of info RAPIDLY and action them RAPIDLY.
In this discussion I cant with my trainee about the most important life saving aspects of the ABG in the Perioperative context.
