I have a skate oven. I have done many, many heat molds. I do NOT recommend doing this at home. Find authorized skate retailer with proper equipment. Again, I have the proper skate oven (at my home).
-- With that, this is good demonstration of actual shaping of the heated skate boot by manipulation through hand sculpting to fit the foot and adjusting shape for your unique foot.
YES, this process can be done more than once. First fit often work, but if, within first 5 hours of skating you experience pain, discomfort or issues that impede your skating go promptly to your retailer. STOP problems BEFORE they become Monsters! Old saying holds true, a "pinch" of prevention is better than a "pound" of the cure...
FYI - This skater is doing Triple jumps and wearing the right match to her ability, size, weight and strength. She is not in the most expensive boot, but the right boot for her. Consult with your technician about right fit for you.
