Wherever You Are This morning I found an old message— Unanswered, unread, lost in the silence. It was one I sent you, A few weeks ago, maybe longer. Now it rests here, Among other unspoken words, Echoing back to me— Unanswered, no return. Still, I write again, because I must. Maybe these words will reach you somehow, Somewhere, wherever you are at this moment. God grant you are not alone. I know there are others like you, Wandering, searching, Trying to find what they didn't find at home. But to know that one of them is you— That changes everything. Your absence hangs like an unfinished thought. A presence once familiar, now distant. A friendship built over time, now suspended. We didn't always see eye to eye. There were words left unsaid, Frustrations we never unraveled, Moments that might have been different If we'd listened a little better. But there is a time to hold on, And a time to let go. Only I never thought I'd have to let you go. You once told me, "I just need to understand some things." Maybe you're still searching, Maybe you think distance brings clarity. But remember this— What you are and what you'll become Is rooted in the people who've stood by you, Those who saw your strength Before you yourself knew you had it. I can almost hear you laughing at this, Shaking your head at my sentimentality. But just for a moment—think it through. Before the days slip too far away, Before this silence becomes permanent, Before we become just two more people Who once called each other friends— Come back. Not to pick up where we left off, Not because everything is easy or simple, But because what we had was real. Because you matter. And because some things are worth saving. If you look for me, I'll be here. No conditions. No expectations. Just an open door.
