Vietnam Tunnels – Inside Vinh Moc’s Underground Village (Birth & School Rooms)

Hidden beneath the central coast of Vietnam lies one of the most astonishing underground villages in the world – the Vinh Moc tunnels

In this cinematic travel documentary, I travel to Quang Tri in central Vietnam to visit this underground village, walk through its narrow passages, and experience what daily life might have felt like down here.

Together with a local guide, I explore the medical room, family rooms, meeting room, classroom, birth room, water well, bathrooms, and different entrances leading toward the sea. Along the way, I try to imagine how nearly 500 people survived more than six years underground, with birth rooms, school rooms, and shelters all carved by hand beneath the former dmz vietnam.

You’ll see how these vietnam tunnels were dug by hand, how 17 babies were born underground, how fresh air and water came into the tunnels, and why Vinh Moc feels less like a military bunker and more like a real underground village.
