NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s job status after Pittsburgh’s win vs. the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14:

“A (Mike Tomlin) firing is not going to happen…The Steelers know that Tomlin is one of the NFL’s best coaches, and his relationship with Art Rooney and the organization he’s coached since 2007 is such that a firing is not on the table. Last June, set to enter the final year of his contract, Tomlin signed a three-year extension that secured the future of one of the NFL’s highest-paid coaches. That deal, however, contains a team option that must be picked up by March (1st of next offseason) to lock in that 2027 season. If not, Tomlin would enter the 2026 season in a contract year, which would be noteworthy given his stature. That’s why it’s likely the team would pick the option up, sources say…As one source said, if the Steelers win (vs. the Ravens in Week 14), this all goes away.”
