Not all edible plants need full sun to thrive! In this video, I’m sharing four of my favorite shade-tolerant and shade-loving edible plants that grow beautifully in part shade to full shade—perfect for small space gardening, container gardens, or even tropical-style patios with limited sun. These include flavorful and versatile plants like longevity spinach (Gynura procumbens), Japanese mugwort, magenta leaf plant, and parsley, plus a bonus: wax begonia, which not only has edible flowers but also attracts pollinators even in the shade. Whether you're growing on a balcony, in pots, or under the canopy of taller plants, these are great options to keep your garden productive.
