This is the 8th (Lecture 5) of a set of videos of the course presenting my theory of communication called The Creation of Meaning. It was taught at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in late 2020. The first two videos introduced the theory, and the rest of the videos discuss how the theory deals with all of the standard pragmatic phenomena.
