UPDATE Sept 2024:
Half of the clamps that came with the kit in the video were useless because they get stuck when tightening them. Be careful with the clamps because I was getting tiny pieces of metal flaking off and stinging my hand. If you want a higher quality hose mender kit, buy one from Home Depot.

These are affordable hose menders that leave tiny leak when the hose is left pressurized. They're relatively low cost compared to others and they perform okay, but they're not the best.

The best way to tighten the clamps is with a socket wrench. The second best way to tighten these is with a ratcheting screwdriver. You may also have to tighten it three different times to get the best seal. It might help to tighten the clamps when the sun has warmed up the hose because it will be softer. Keep in mind that these types of clamps get loose with a lot of movement, so you may need to tighten the clamps again in a couple of months.

You can also find some at Home Depot made by Orbit and they work well as long as you use a socket wrench or ratcheting screwdriver.

Be careful! when you are rolling up your hose by hand. I cut my finger because I rolled up my hose in the dark quickly and I forgot about the clamps. The clamps are metal, they can hurt your hand.
