This was a beautiful day out with family and friends as we once again explored Joe's Canyon
Joe's Canyon Loop is one of the Blue Mountains great adventures where you will hike, wade and swim through spectacular slot canyons and creeks.
Lilo's and wetsuits are strongly recommended for this canyon as there are a couple of descent swim out areas and the water can be quite cold when exposed for longer periods.
Expect to climb over a few boulders in Bell creek and be prepared for the long steep climb back out to Mt Wilson.
Like most walks in the the mountains, you absolutely need to do your homework to navigate your way around and out.
Safety is an absolute priority- carry a PLB (personal locating beacon) and first aid kit
I would personally rate this as medium to hard, and as always, be prepared for the unexpected on any of these walks
