Wilmington City Council held its first regular meeting for the month of September, and the first City Council meeting held in the new chambers at Skyline Center.
First up, a number of proclamations were made...
• September 17th through the 23rd was named Constitution Week.
• September 2025 was named as National Suicide Awareness Month.
• September 22nd through the 26th was proclaimed to be Fall Prevention Awareness Week.
Next, Council authorized a lease agreement for 3700 square feet of office space at the Skyline Center for GPM Southeast LLC. With this latest addition, the building’s occupancy now stands at 85%.
