This is an authentic, genuine, and licensed United Cutlery Gil Hibben dagger that Hibben crafted for the film Rambo (2008). For Rambo III (1988) and Rambo (IV 2008) Sylvester Stallone personally commissioned Gil Hibben to design the daggers used by Stallone's character John Rambo. This Machete is extremely heavy duty and forged with the finest craftsmanship and precision.

The knife offers one solid piece of heat-forged 1090 carbon steel with a black fabric wrapped grip. Stallone had a basic idea of what he needed and the knife was written into the script, as in the previous three films, as an integral part of the movie, almost a character in and of itself. Gil made at least 5 prototype versions of the piece before finally arriving at the design that is used in the film.

This replica is exclusively manufactured by United Cutlery Corporation make of high quality collectibles, and is an exact replica of the actual piece used by Stallone in the movie, right down to the hand forging. The knife is 18 3/8" overall and forged from 1090 carbon steel with a 12" blade and black fabric wrapped grip. The overall "beaten" finish coincides with the movie piece which "sly" actually hammers out during the film.
