Full Poem:

Your hand in mine,
like tide to shore—
steady, then wild,
then still once more.

We burned beneath a citrus sky,
salt-kissed skin,
hearts running dry
from all the laughing we forgot to save.

The sun slipped low,
gold dripped across your collarbone.
I watched you
like the moon watches the sea—
always pulling, never too far.

Cicadas sang our names in the hush,
and the air,
sweet with honeysuckle and hush,
wrapped us in something soft,
something real.

If love had a season,
it would be this:
a July evening,
your eyes full of light,
and time too slow to matter.
