After removing the doors carefully and sanding all the edges, I fit the doors in the opening by taping across the back of the jamb.  This gives me the gap at the rear, and then I carefully tape the doors in place in the opening where I want them to be, and then I superglue these hinges to the a pillar and door the two pieces of tube over the paper clip, are simply friction fit and the doors can be removed for paint and later assembly.
