ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
This video provides an overview of PFAS naming conventions and introductory information about physical and chemical properties for PFAS. The purpose of this video is to assist the viewer in understanding key concepts behind naming the various substances and then to provide the essential elements of understanding their physical and chemical characteristics.
ABOUT THE ITRC PFAS TEAM:
The ITRC PFAS Team was established in 2017 and has developed a series of fact sheets, tables of technical information and data, and a technical document that help regulators and other stakeholders improve their understanding of the current science regarding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are a large and complex class of anthropogenic compounds whose prevalence in the environment have become an emerging, worldwide priority in environmental and human health. This series of training modules provides an overview of the information included in the ITRC technical resources.
