Before the HIGHLOW Study, we knew the low-molecular weight heparin is safe to use during pregnancy in order to prevent blood clots.
What we didn't know, is what the right dose to use is. Many guidelines where at odds to decide which is the best dose to use, because the evidence wasn't there, and this is what the HIGHLOW study set out to do, to try to answer the question: "Which dose is best at preventing blood clots in pregnancy?"
