Das Donau-Einkaufszentrum liegt in Regensburg nördlich der Donau im Stadtteil Weichs. Es wurde 1967 von Johann Vielberth als erstes vollklimatisiertes, zweigeschossiges Einkaufszentrum Europas errichtet und war bei seiner Eröffnung das erste große Einkaufszentrum Bayerns, es wurde seither mehrmals erweitert.
The Donau-Einkaufszentrum is located in Regensburg north of the Danube in the district of Weichs. It was built in 1967 by Johann Vielberth as the first fully air-conditioned, two-storey shopping center in Europe and was the first large shopping center in Bavaria when it opened. It has been expanded several times since then.
