In this raw and unfiltered travel documentary, follow me — Chupacabra — as I dive headfirst into the heart of Brazil’s Amazon region, starting in the chaotic and colorful city of Manaus. From its vibrant downtown to the wild unknown of the Amazon River, this is one of my strangest, most unpredictable trips yet.

📍 PART 1: Manaus City Center
We kick things off in the bustling center of Manaus, a city rich in history, culture, and energy. I wander through the busy streets, soaking in the architecture, colors, and street life. I stop to try banana chips from a local street vendor and grab a drink from a friendly lady selling refreshments, showing you firsthand the flavors of the Amazonas.

📍 PART 2: The Port of Manaus – The Search Begins
The journey turns unpredictable as I head to the Port of Manaus, a chaotic hub where cargo, produce, people, and riverboats all mix. I’m on a mission to find a boat that can take me deep into the Amazon jungle. After chatting with vendors and boatmen, I meet a contact — but things take a bizarre turn.

🌀 A strange scene unfolds: While negotiating with a boatman named Pedro, a drunk man suddenly approaches, yelling and nearly spitting on me in the middle of the busy port. As the situation intensifies, I manage to get Pedro’s contact and move on quickly while the drunk man continues to follow me through the port.

📍 PART 3: Real Local Encounters
I stumble upon a group of fishermen who offer me a smoke and guide me through a maze-like fish market, giving me a glimpse into daily life at the port. Then, I’m invited into a floating wooden house, where a Brazilian woman is cleaning leaves from the water. She jokes about anacondas, which convinces me to move on — fast!

📍 PART 4: A Haircut & Honest Conversation
Back in the center of Manaus, I get a much-needed haircut at a local barbershop. My barber shares stories about working between the city and his hometown deep in the Amazon. It's a quiet, reflective moment amidst the chaos — and a reminder of how hardworking and kind the people here are.

📍 PART 5: Into the Amazonas – The Real Adventure Begins
The next day, I return to the port and board a speedboat headed down the Amazon River. The adventure ramps up as we dodge floating debris, crocodiles, anacondas, and maybe even pirates. The Amazon is as wild and unpredictable as you’d expect.

📍 PART 6: Meeting Locals & the Pink Dolphins
I make a stop at a floating village and meet an indigenous man who offers to take me to his tribe. Before that, I spend time with local families living in floating houses, meet children who fearlessly swim in the river, and — for the first time — come face to face with the legendary pink dolphins of the Amazon. I even get the chance to touch one — a surreal and unforgettable experience.

📍 PART 7: Petrol on the River & Meeting a Tribe
After a quick stop at a floating Amazonian petrol station, we continue upriver and arrive at a remote community built by the water’s edge. This self-sustaining village has homes, businesses, and people who’ve made the river their life. I finally set foot on Amazon soil and prepare for my journey to visit the Amazon tribe.
