RAW SAVORY GREEN SOUP = Happy Cells, Happy Tissues, Vitality & Optimal Health

This is one of my favorite meals (Scott's too!) It is a very delicious and satiating way to infuse the body with an immense amount of nutrients without overtaxing the digestive system thereby freeing up the energy needed for the cells to perform their myriad of tasks, including building healthy blood, tissues and organs; repairing our incredible bodies as a whole and removing toxic build up as well as metabolic waste in a timely fashion.
HAVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY GREEN SMOOTHIE, SAVORY SOUP DAY ;-)
Recipe:
2 C filtered water
2 big handfuls of swiss chard (rainbow, white, red - it's ALL good!)
2 big handfuls of spinach
1/4 bunch of cilantro (coriander)
1/2 sm onion
1 lime, peel removed
1/4 jalapeño (more for a delightful, spicy kick ;-) )
kale stems (optional, I used them because I had them reserved from a kale salad I prepared earlier)
2 lg ribs of celery
1/2 in piece of fresh turmeric root (leave the skin on if organic)
1 lg vine ripened tomato, quartered
1/2 apple, cored
zucchini seeds and pulp (optional, I had these reserved from making macaroni noodles - see my raw mac n cheeze video!)
2 tsp fresh thyme
1 Tbsp ground cumin (lends a delicious Tex-Mex flavor)
2 tsp kelp granules
1/2 - 1 tsp pink himalayan salt
1/2 avocado
raw pumpkin seeds (pepitas) for garnish
Method:
Put water, chard, spinach & cilantro into a blender and whirl away until greens are liquified. Next add remaining ingredients except avocado & pumpkin seeds and blend until smooth. Add avocado and quickly blend until creamy (just a couple of seconds - don't over blend or the avocado will turn the soup frothy and mousse like). Adjust seasoning to taste. Lastly, pour into your favorite bowl or put in a mason jar to carry with you (best fast food ever!), top with pumpkin seeds and a quick sprinkling of fresh thyme ~ ENJOY xo
