o Will teach you some tips on how to stop feeling sorry for yourself & get back on track to living your best life
• First – stop comparing yourself to others.
o It’s easy to think that the world is against you and everyone else has it easier. Everyone has issues in their lives.
o Knowing you are not alone helps
o No such thing as a perfect world – probably would be boring
o Just know that the person(s) you think are living a fantastic life are going through their own junk as well
• Accept failure as nothing more than a learning tool.
o Failure has no real judgement as to who you are as a person. You are not a bad person if you fail
o Everybody fails.
o The only people who really don’t fail are the ones who never try anything new or take a risk
o You can’t grow if you don’t fail
o Think of a baby learning to walk
 Everyone falls at first
 But what would happen if you never tried to walk – you wouldn’t fail, but you would never learn to walk either
o Failure can also open doors to new and exciting opportunities – eg. Forces you to find a new job you love and get out of a job you hate
o So, embrace failure as a friend and not an enemy
• Stop trying to be perfect
o No one is
o If you hold yourself to perfection, you will be disappointed all the time
o Do your very best – be honest about it
o That’s all you can really do
• Take control of your own life and don’t let others run it for you.
o I want a better job, but my boss won’t let me
o I want to move, but I have to stay near my family
o I want to travel, but no one I know wants to go
o It’s your life, you need to do what’s best for you.

o You can always:
 Find a new job you love or go into business for yourself – do it before you quit the other one
 Go ahead and move – you only live once – no regrets
 You can travel solo, or you can find travel buddies from meetup groups, facebook groups, etc.
• Just go out and live your best possible life – take control of your steering wheel and dwell on what you can do and not what you can’t do.
