How Strong were Viking Shields? Gokstad Replica reply to Joerg Sprave

Thrand goes to the extreme to dispute that the Gokstad shields and historical shield finds of thinner shield boards in the Viking age are stronger and lighter than many historians could ever possibly imagine if recreated based on documentation and historical evidence.
