Trains at Wakefield Kirkgate - 08/11/2024

A chilly afternoon of trainspotting at Wakefield Kirkgate Station on 8th November 2024.

I chose to come here, as it was the closest station I could get to in time to see the 125 Group's HST railtour from Derby to The East Lancashire Railway, with Power-cars 43089, and Retro liveried 43159 'Rio Warrior'.

Also seen in this video are a couple of freight trains, and the Colas Rail Class 66 operated RHTT, along with a Volker Rail track unit, and the regular services from Northern and TransPennine Express.
At the time of this recording, some of TPE's 802's and 185's were diverting through here, due to engineering works taking place as part of the TransPennine Route upgrade.
