I'm clearly a transport geek, even when I'm on holiday I'm spending time on the local public transport. And for good reason! The Nice tram system is amazing. Oh and also the city is beautiful. I fell absolutely in love with this gem on the south coast of France, in the French Riviera... what a gorgeous place. And here is day one of our travel from Luton to Nice and around the city.

Can any two cities be further apart? Luton and Nice!?

DAY ONE IN NICE – The Ultimate French Riviera Tease!

Join us as we kick off our Nice adventure with a whirlwind day full of surprises, secret bites, and sun-soaked views.

From wandering the colourful chaos of Cours Saleya Market to stumbling across dreamy alleyways in the old town and staring in amazement at Place Masséna, we’re spilling all the juicy (and citrusy) moments from our very first day.

Expect sneaky transport tricks, a glimpse of the stunning tram network, and even a peek at the Cote D'Azure airport that’s so close to the sea it barely seems real. But of course, it all starts off at silly o'clock in the morning at London's Luton Airport - that is nowhere near London! Where we got to experience the expensive (but cool) Luton DART cable operated rail link...

Hungry? Good. We dive mouth-first into local eats that taste way more luxe than they cost. Including a chickpea pancake that will blow your mind!

Plus: The Port, the beach, and a few places that’ll make you question why you ever vacationed anywhere else.
