I can guarantee that before you get your next job, your employer will check out your LinkedIn profile. Your CV might put you in contention, but it is your LinkedIn profile that will decide whether someone wants to work with you or not. This is your personal brand, a profile that lets an employer know what you are all about – why you are the right person to get on board and not the other guy or gal.
I was given a presentation from a guy who works for LinkedIn. He knows what works and what doesn’t. He was very insistent that your profile should project a personality. People want to know the person behind the dates and lists. It is your beliefs and your personality that will get you a job. After listening to his advice, I put together this video.
