What is Slamarack? It's an unofficial surf flash mob and a "soft-top circus" where hundreds of surfers descend on the waves for a day of pure, unadulterated chaos at Tamarack Beach, Carlsbad on August 6. Unlike traditional surf etiquette, Slamarack encourages everyone to paddle for every wave, leading to simultaneous drop-ins, boards flying like paper airplanes, and epic, spectacular wipeouts.
