Stock Market Today: BA/SPR Up on Deal, Chinese E.V. Makers Strong Deliveries, CHWY Lower

Shares of Boeing (BA) and Spirit AeroSystems (SPR) rose after Boeing announced it will buy back the fuselage maker in an all-stock deal. Shares of U.S. listed Chinese E.V. makers including XPeng (XPEV), Li Auto (LI), and Nio (NIO) rose after reporting strong June delivery numbers. Chewy (CHWY) reversed early gains and closed lower after influential trader “Roaring Kitty” revealed a 6.6% stake in the online pet retailer.
