Italy’s “Mach Loop,” up close.
Here’s the full version of the low-level footage showing Italian Navy Harrier training in one of the tactical areas used for terrain-masking training.
When I flew from the aircraft carrier Cavour in October 2023 (report here: https://theaviationist.com/2024/01/03..., we passed through the same area on the way back, at sunset; now you can see how it looks when flown at lower altitudes.
