There is a relation between the Madman song and Mean Mr Mustard, as they were played together in the sessions.
Whereas Mean Mustard was a mean old man who shouted obscene things, the Madman is a lunatic who wears pink pajamas and lives on a farm!
Coincidently there was a meme started in 2015 called "John Lennon The Absolute Madman" featuring a picture of John kind of doing the 'ministry of silly walks' also a pre-internet Monty Python meme.
