The drink/drug drive hospital procedure. here we cover two issues: (1) the role of the hospital Doctor. They can only object to the procedure and do not give consent. (2) If a detainee offers a medical reason why they cannot provide blood - such as needle phobia or generally too unwell - the officer can either accept it or doubt it and call the HCP. The officer has no authority to dismiss it.
