Discover a next-gen ADAS demonstration tailored for the chaotic, unpredictable traffic of chaotic roads — built to learn on the edge, adapt in real time, and keep all data local.
🎯 What the Demo Covers
Real-world Indian traffic: rickshaws, overloaded trucks, buses, pedestrians, poorly marked lanes, and more — where traditional ADAS often fails.
A fully edge-deployed system that fuses camera (and optionally radar) inputs, segments and tracks objects, estimates risks via TTC (time-to-collision), and logs every decision in real time.
Pink-shaded masks on vehicles and pedestrians, labeled bounding boxes with stable IDs, lane guidance, and a dynamic risk-timeline UI.
🧰 Why It Matters
No cloud. No latency. The entire stack runs on edge hardware — ideal for TI TDA4x or NVIDIA Jetson — targeting less than 15 W power, less than 500 MB model size, and less than 50 ms/frame latency.
Adaptable & future-ready. While radar models aren’t yet trained in-house, the architecture is designed to seamlessly integrate radar fusion when available.
Real-time situational awareness & safety. With segmentation, tracking, sensor fusion (when radar is available), and risk assessment, the system offers robust perception even in India’s chaotic traffic.
💡 What MonkDB Enables
All data (frames, detections, tracks, risk evaluations, fusion outputs, IoU matrices, logs) is stored locally in MonkDB — ensuring privacy, offline operation, and full auditability.
Continuous online learning, fine-tuning, and adaptation right on the device — using MonkDB’s schema and SQL dialects for structured storage and replay.
Full explainability and traceability: every decision, every prediction, and every learned update is logged with context (timestamp, edge-node ID, confidence, hazard reasons), enabling audits and drift analysis later.
Modular integration: as new sensors (like radar) or updated models come online, MonkDB’s flexible schema supports seamless extension of data types without disrupting existing pipelines.
🚀 Want to Try It?
This demo is built to run on TI TDA4x or Jetson — low-cost, production-ready hardware. The stack is modular, explainable, and designed for India’s unique traffic conditions.
