2 amplifiers to 1 set of speakers - Build in Audiophile 10$ SWITCH INVENTION - Denon S960h & 495R to JBL ES80 true hires speakers.
I have integrated into the Denon amplifier a mechanical switch (10$ switch with wires of 1.5mm) because i wanted to connect one Denon receiver and one Denon amplifier to one set of speakers; money are no problem but another box in the house was the problem and another transformer in the wall socket is the problem, and where is a transformer is a loss of audio quality, so making this integrated switch i will shoot 4 rabbits with one fire. So technically are 2 amplifiers: one is for movies and one is for music. There are noticeable differences comparing AVR-S906H at sound quality/music with the PMA-495R. So i wanted the receiver set to ,,Pure mode'' sound as much at he can give and the amplifier strict for music, for the accuracy of the instruments, for the true Hires sound. S906H is good, but not the true hires, so i come up with this solution. In this tutorial/review:
1. The integration into the PMA-495R and 12 pin switch, the audio wires and the back connections;
2. The sound testing with Sennheiser cardioid mic and the differences between Denon AVR-S960h & PMA-495R.
3. Audio testing with Sennheiser cardioid mic in ,,Pure mode'' Denon AVR-S960h vs PMA-495R.
