Nun's Cross farm is a well known landmark situated on the higher moor .
The house was built by John Hooper in 1870 who leased the land from the Dutchy Cornwall , after moving into the house they made a success with cattle in this isolated location.
The cross close to the farm is commonly referred to as " NUN'S CROSS " is actually called Siward's cross which is documented as far back as 1240.
