Two years in the making (2022-2024), this is volume 2 of the recordings made with a Serge Modular System using feedback/cybernetic techniques. For these sessions I focused on a more playful and hands-on approach involving improvisation. So on this volume you can expect a more elaborate result: carefully crafted feedback patches, lots of improvisational gestures exploring the limits of each patch, multiple recordings and layering of various takes on top of each other and finally the use of external distortion and delay fx where that was absolutely necessary to bring some of the nuances of each sound more to the front.
So while the first volume focused on the purity of the feedback patch (and the connection to nature's sound-world), this volume is a carefully crafted composition using feedback as a tool for achieving sounds otherwise impossible to achieve/imagine. In a few words, it has that early electronic music vibe, it's more Stockhausen and Xenakis than Roland Kayn.
