Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is - on the surface – incredibly simple and finds power in that simplicity. But its journey is layered, nuanced, and intimate. When it released in 2017 it was hailed as a technical marvel, but even a cursory look at some of the behind-the-scenes footage its developer – Ninja Theory – released shows a game that’s so much more than its graphics.
