In this video, Dr Jawed Qureshi provides a complete overview of designing steel–concrete composite beams with profiled sheeting. You’ll learn how to select the right decking, understand construction and composite load stages, and calculate moment capacity.
Dr Qureshi also discusses popular tools and software used in the UK and worldwide, such as S-Frame, Tekla Designer, BCSA tools, and SCI guides. Whether you're a student, practising engineer or academic, this session will improve your understanding of composite structure design using Eurocode 4.
References to real-life applications, recommended books (e.g., by R.P. Johnson), and practical tips from research make this session valuable for civil and structural engineering professionals.
Follow Dr Jawed Qureshi for more tutorials, and stay connected through LinkedIn and YouTube for future technical sessions.
